2024 Ford Escape Engine Specifications
Achieve stellar efficiency behind the wheel of the 2024 Ford Escape with one of the three available engines. Choose between the 1.5L EcoBoost® inline three-cylinder (I3) engine, the hybrid 2.5L Atkinson-cycle inline four-cylinder (I4) engine, or the plug-in hybrid 2.5L Atkinson-cycle I4 engine. Each option offers impressive fuel efficiency so you can save more time between fill-ups. If you’re looking for more horsepower, select one of the gas powered engines which boast 180 and 250 horsepower, respectively. The hybrid powertrain is available on most trims, except the Active™ and Plug-in Hybrid trim.
There are also four drive modes to choose from on the 2024 Ford Escape, as well. Select between eco, slippery, sport, and normal for enhanced traction and control when you want it. Most engines are also paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission for smooth shifting between gears.

2024 Ford Escape Tow Capacity
You can tow up to 1,500 pounds if you opt for the hybrid or plug-in hybrid engine on the 2024 Ford Escape. However, when you upgrade to the 2.0L EcoBoost I4 engine with the Class II Trailer Tow Package, you can tow a whopping 3,500 pounds. So, you can’t go wrong with whatever you choose.
