2023 Ford Explorer Engine & Tow Specs
Boasting impressive performance from all three engine options, the 2023 Ford Explorer can reach up to 400 horsepower with the powerful 3.0L EcoBoost® V6 engine. Tow up to 5,600 pounds to bring along camping equipment on your journey. Conquer rough terrain with the standard Terrain Management System™ with slippery, sport, tow/haul, and eco drive modes for rear-wheel drive (RWD) models, and normal, trail, and deep snow/sand modes in four-wheel drive (4WD) models. A 3.58 TORSEN® limited-slip rear axle is available on select trims for added confidence. For a more eco-friendly option, a 3.3L hybrid is available on the Limited and Platinum trims. 2023 Ford Explorer Interior Design & Cargo Space
Take more than what you need on every journey in the three-row 2023 Ford Explorer. You can seat six or seven passengers depending on your choice between a second-row 35/30/35 bench or captain’s seats, which can be folded using E-Z entry on select trims. Fold the 50/50 split-folding third-row seats with PowerFold® to get a maximum cargo space of 87.8 cubic feet when needed.
Between the eight Ford Explorer trims, there are several seat trims depending on your chosen model, including ActiveX™-trimmed seats with Miko® inserts and Del Rio leather. A tri-zone automatic climate control system keeps everyone cool, along with ventilated front seats. Heated front seats with a ten-way power driver’s seat and four-way manual passenger’s seat are available, while the second row can also enjoy heated seats on select trims.
